The 27th of April 2017 will mark the anniversary of the publication of the report Warmer & Greener: A Guide to the Future of Domestic Energy Efficiency Policy.
The Westminster Sustainable Business Forum (WSBF) is now organising a one-year-on follow-up conference to review the report’s recommendations and progress made in the policy area since its publication to take place on Tuesday, 9 May 2017 from 1pm – 3pm, co-chaired by Peter Aldous MP and Dr Alan Whitehead MP.
Since its publication, the report has been disseminated to relevant Parliamentarians as well as to key stakeholders across government and industry. In addition, the WSBF has held 6 round table events which convened Parliamentarians, Civil Servants and industry stakeholders to discuss some of the report’s topics in more detail.
While this dissemination process will continue throughout 2017 and the follow-up conference aims to take a step back and review the impact achieved so far and to ensure that energy efficiency policy receives the level of attention that is required to tackle fuel poverty and achieve the UK’s climate change objectives.
