Launch of the Policy Connect & the Higher Education Commission’s fifth inquiry report 'One Size Won't Fit All: the Challenges Facing the Office for Students'

Thursday 14th September, 11:00-13:00

Keynote speaker: Gordon Marsden, Shadow Minister for Higher Education, Further Education & Skills

The Commission’s report 'One Size Won't Fit All: the Challenges Facing the Office for Students', examines diverse models of higher education provision across different types of English Higher Education Institutions. The report makes recommendations to the sector’s new regulator, the Office for Students.

The report follows a ten month inquiry co-chaired by Lord Norton of Louth and Professor Joy Carter examining what can be learned from different Higher Education delivery models and how the system can best support innovative practice across the sector to protect the diversity of the system.

This report undertakes a review of the current landscape across English Higher Education Institutions, looking at innovations in delivery models operating outside of the standard offer of the campus-based three year degree aimed at 18-19 year olds. The report makes a series of recommendations targeted at the new regulator, the Office for Students, which aim to promote diversity and choice in the system.
