The Government has committed to developing an industrial strategy for the UK and signalled their intentions in this area by creating the new Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. Many have suggested that dissolving the Department of Energy and Climate Change may damage the UK's efforts to meet its emissions reductions obligations. However, the new department brings together energy and industry under one roof and this could be a brilliant opportunity for coordinated action to reduce emissions from industry.
This event will bring together experts, stakeholders and policymakers to examine the next steps in delivering a sustainable industrial strategy. It has been organised jointly by the All-Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group and Carbon Connect.
