Policy Manager, Carbon Monoxide Safety

Laura joined Policy Connect as the Policy Manager for Carbon Monoxide Safety in November 2020, previously working for the whistleblowing charity Protect as an adviser, business consultant and policy officer. 

Laura is currently:

  • Managing a parliamentary inquiry into carbon monoxide awareness and risk management process in health and social care, chaired by Liz Twist MP
  • Working with a range of stakeholders to develop the "Better Data on Carbon Monoxide" initiative, which recently featured a workshop chaired by Baroness Finlay and funded by the CO Research Trust (previously the Gas Safety Trust)
  • Developing and delivering the All Party Group’s carbon monoxide summer safety campaign “Carbon Monoxide Safe 4 Summer” which launches on 24 June
  • Collating data and research to demonstrate the impacts of sub-lethal carbon monoxide poisoning, and the prevalence of carbon monoxide exposure in Britain. 

Outside of work, Laura enjoys going to the beach and skiing (when possible) and taking photos of her cat.
