Teymour joined Policy Connect in February 2022 as a Senior Researcher, responsible for the Skills Commission’s new research inquiry into Level 4 and 5 higher technical qualifications. He will be working closely with former Minister of State for Further Education, Skills, and Lifelong Learning, Sir John Hayes MP, and Baroness Sue Garden to deliver a policy report on increasing competitiveness, productivity, and the supply of skilled workers in the context of debate on the future of work, organised around the themes of flexibility, accessibility, and popularity.
Teymour has over 10 years of experience delivering large and complex skills and employability projects in fragile and challenging contexts. He has led and contributed to national and local policy change initiatives in Afghanistan, Egypt, and Madagascar, with a wide variety of stakeholders including state Ministries, employer representative organisations, and trade union federations.
Teymour holds an MSc in Labour, Social Movements, and Development from SOAS, University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Social Policy with Government from the London School of Economics & Political Science (LSE).
