Following on from the publication of the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum’s inquiry into domestic energy efficiency Warmer & Greener and Carbon Connect’s Future Heat Series, both groups are partnering on an event to discuss how the Government can better join up its ambition on energy efficiency with its efforts to decarbonise heat for buildings in the future.

Increasing the energy efficiency of our buildings is a key part of reducing carbon emissions and tackling fuel poverty and at the same time an essential part of the UK’s strategy for eliminating emissions from the housing stock. Attendees at this round table will discuss the different options of aligning both policy fields and also look at the practical solutions for and implications of a more joined up approach. The round table will also consider how a reinstatement of the zero carbon homes policy or the introduction of a similar standard could also provide the opportunity to reduce the complexity of the previous standard, increase its robustness and help align energy efficiency and heat policy.
