The APHG hosted the final evidence session of the ‘Improving Access to Primary Care’ inquiry in Parliament on 3 December. The discussion, chaired by Dr Simon Opher MP, Jess Brown-Fuller MP and Lord Kamall, invited experts to give evidence on how digital transformation and integrated systems can be harnessed effectively to deliver better primary care.
Key insights from the discussion focused on the role of digital tools in improving access, tackling interoperability challenges across primary care, building public trust through transparent data governance, and ensuring the workforce is supported and upskilled to help patients navigate new models of care.
