The APHG held its first evidence session of its inquiry into Improving Access to Primary Care Services in Parliament.

Co-chaired by Dr Simon Opher MP and Lord Syed Kamall, the session explored which populations are most affected by poor access to primary care, with a particular focus on how digital exclusion risks widening health inequalities and what more equitable models of access could look like.

Speakers included:

  • William Pett (Healthwatch England)
  • Dr Emily Murray (Institute for Public Health, University of Essex)
  • Tim Clarke (Accessible Waterways Association CIC)
  • John Ford (Health Equity Evidence Centre)
  • Shawn Charlwood (British Dental Association)
  • Rob Waterson (University of East London)
