We are at a critical point in the recovery from Covid-19. While the vaccination programme rolls out and a tentative return to the office are causes for optimism, there are still significant unknowns for the future. Will the end of the Corona virus Job Retention Scheme cause the projected spike in unemployment? What will our new relationship with the European Union affect labour flows and skills shortages? What schemes could encourage investment from the excess personal savings ‘balloon’ and how can this be used to build back better?
