The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Design and Innovation are delighted to host the first of three roundtables in a series with the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design, in a series titled Realising Art and Design Research in Policy Making Decisions.

This roundtable, titled, ‘Art and Design Expertise and Evidence Base: how can we use it?’ will be chaired by Barry Sheerman MP, Chair for APDIG. Confirmed speakers also include Sally Wade, Chair for CHEAD; Martyn Evans, Director of the Manchester School of Art; Ian Thomas, Head of Evidence at Arts British Council;  and Chris Speed, Chair of Design Informatics at the University of Edinburgh.

The purpose of this session is to bring together expert academics and organisations on the use of existing and new research as evidence within policy making, and how we can learn from existing examples of good practice seen in REF Impact case studies.

Policy Connect will also be using #CHEADRA when tweeting live from this event so those who cannot attend can follow along and participate.

If you are interested in attending, please reach out to Floriane.fidegnon@policyconnect.org.uk or Shiza.naveed@policyconnect.org.uk.
