Sustainability in fashion is highly important to reduce the environmental impact of society. How can we facilitate this by achieving circularity for textiles?

Policy Connect, in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Textiles Circularity Centre is organising a workshop, entitled ‘Circularity of Textiles: Designing a transition pathway’.

The workshop will focus on designing a transition pathway to circularity for textiles. It will aim to define the role of the newly established Textile Circularity Centre in the policy context and set out how its research can contribute to the policy developments that aim to encourage the transition to textiles circularity.

Speakers:

Maya de Souza – Head of Resource Efficiency & Waste Prevention Policy Team, Defra

Shiobhan Baillie MP – Vice-Chair, All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion

Dr Lisa Cameron MP – Chair, All-Party Parliamentary Group on Textiles and Fashion
