A briefing event for parliamentary researchers

The UK’s ambition to be a global leader on climate change depends on successful action to reduce emissions at home. With COP26 fast approaching, how do our targets compare to the actions the government has taken on climate policy?

To help keep track of climate policy released by the UK government, Policy Connect launched the Climate Policy Dashboard upon request by the All-Party Parliamentary Climate Change Group. This easy-to-use tool is available to explore a summary of different sector’s policy targets and developments. The Dashboard shows where each sector is excelling and falling behind on climate action, gives key recommendations for meeting targets, and will be updated as new policies are announced.

Setting out how the Dashboard can facilitate parliamentary work on climate policy, Policy Connect is hosting an online briefing event for parliamentary researchers on the Climate Policy Dashboard.

Specifically designed for parliamentary researchers, this briefing will outline how the Dashboard can be used as a policy tool to aid parliamentarians’ work in holding the government to account on climate policies across key sectors, and identify which are the areas where policies must urgently be formulated to get on track to meet net zero in the run-up to COP26 and beyond.

You can access the Dashboard via this link
