On October 13th the Committee on Climate Change published a report examining the progress which is required in the areas of heat and energy efficiency in order for the UK to meet the Fifth Carbon Budget. This roundtable will explore this publication in detail and seek to determine how the Government can reduce emissions from heating the UK’s buildings.

This is a joint event, organised by Carbon Connect and the Westminster Sustainable Business Forum (WSBF).

The WSBF’s most recent report was entitled Warmer & Greener: A guide to the future of domestic energy efficiency policy. This followed a nine-month research process which was co-chaired by Peter Aldous MP and Dr Alan Whitehead MP. Carbon Connect published the second part of their Future Heat Series in October 2015 entitled Future Heat Series Part 2 – Policy for Heat. This inquiry was co-chaired by Jonathan Reynolds MP, and Rebecca Pow MP.
