Higher Education Commission inquiry 9: fourth evidence session

The Higher Education Commission’s inquiry into university research and its role in tackling regional economy inequality will hold its fourth evidence session on Wednesday 16th June.

The session will be co-chaired by the Rt. Hon. Chris Skidmore MP, former Universities Minister, and Lord Norton of Louth.

This evidence session will assess how the UK can build the skills base it needs to undertake greater levels of research and development throughout the nation. We will investigate what is required from a business perspective and how skills providers will need to adapt in order to match this demand. 

Key witnesses giving evidence include:

• David Hughes: Chief Executive, Association of Colleges
• Sally Ann Forsyth: Chief Executive, Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst 
• David Phoenix: Vice-Chancellor, London South Bank University
