The APSRG will be holding an event to discuss Defra’s ‘Resources and Waste Strategy’, and the progress that has been made since its publication just over a year ago. Topics considered will include producer responsibility, the UK’s recycling infrastructure, and tackling waste crime and food waste. The seminar will take place from 15:30-17:30 in Committee Room G, House of Lords, and will be chaired by Lord Robin Teverson. The keynote speech will be given by Rebecca Pow MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at Defra, and this will be followed by short presentations by Paul Vanston from INCPEN, Adam Read from Suez, Peter Maddox from WRAP and Pat Jennings from CIWM. After the presentations, the event will open up in to a round-table style discussion where attendees will be invited to contribute their thoughts and raise any questions they may have.
