RoboTIPS: The ethical black box (EBB)

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Data Analytics (APGDA) and the RoboTips team are delighted to be hosting a roundtable to discuss the implementation of the ethical black box (EBB) and the need for this technology within social robots.

The session will take place on Wednesday 9th February 10:00-11:30 am and will be chaired by Lord Holmes, Co-Chair of the APGDA. 

RoboTips aims to develop a new approach to responsible innovation (RI) in the context of trustworthy and secure technologies. The principle challenge is to embed responsible innovation into technology developers’ practices and to create positive cases of RI in action. The EBB will aim to enhance safety in automated systems whilst also advancing public trust in these technologies.
