In July the UK became the first major economy to commit to reaching net-zero carbon emmisions by 2050, building upon previous commitments in the 2015 Paris Agreement.

This session will explore the economic opportunities of this new target, including actions the Government should be taking both now and in the long term to fully realise these opportunities. This will include considering the headline recommendations of the Committee on Climate Change’s recent annual progress report.

Speakers:

Alex Chalk MP
Bill Esterson MP
Baroness Brown of Cambridge
James Diggle, CBI
Corin Taylor, DNV GL
Emily Woolfenden, Ørsted
