This summer, the Government launched its White Paper, Planning for the Future, which set out wide-ranging reforms to modernise the planning system in England.  The proposals include simplifying the role of Local Plans, embracing digital technology, an increased focus on design and sustainability, reform of developer contributions, and a new system for bringing forward land for development.

The Sustainability team will be producing a response to this consultation and is seeking the views of its members to inform this.  Guest speakers at this online roundtable include:

Dr. Wei Yang – Chair, Wei Yang & Partners and Vice President of the Royal Town Planning Institute

Tony Mulhall – Associate Director, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors

Andrew Taylor – Group Planning Director at Countryside Properties
