Rt Hon Professor Lord Norton & Baroness D’Souza – The House of Lords & a Hung Parliament: how big an influence will the Lords have?

Policy Connect has invited renowned constitutional expert Lord Norton to discuss how the Lords will have a greater impact on Parliamentary affairs and processes now that we are entering a hung Parliament.

With the Conservative Government’s precarious position, particularly on legislation pertaining to England, the Lords’ consistent presence will prove to be one of the deciding factors in the direction of governmental affairs.

This fascinating session will cover:

  • Exactly what a hung Parliament means for policy developments,
  • How this impacts the influence of Peers,
  • The potential for future reform in the Lords,
  • Engaging with politicians to drive forward sector issues,
  • What Policy Connect will be doing to engage with politicians.

This will be followed by a short question and answer session – you can submit your questions to us once you have registered.

The event will include light refreshments and an opportunity to network with our many other members, influencers and expert stakeholders.
