Policy Connect and the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Data Analytics has begun working on a new inquiry which looks to form a standards system for the ethical use of data and artificial intelligence (AI). The resulting report will outline the key practical and implementable elements of an ethical AI standards system. This will be the third inquiry as part of our influential Data and Artificial Intelligence series

The purpose of this Call for Evidence is to gather first hand insights from industry professionals, academics, and members of civil society on standards and regulation for the ethical use of AI in the public, private and third sectors. We will use your insights, including any practical case studies, to make recommendations to the government on how, in very practical terms, AI should be regulated in the UK so as to achieve responsible AI use.

Our recommendations will for example be used to feed into the government’s forthcoming White Paper and consultation.

This inquiry is kindly sponsored by Bright Data, EY, Jisc, and Zurich Insurance.

To contribute, please download and complete the Call for Evidence Word document (right) and email it to alainah.amer@policyconnect.org.uk by 11:59pm, 24th February, 2023.

If you have any questions please contact the project co-ordinator at alainah.amer@policyconnect.org.uk.
