Alyson Hwang
Alyson joined Policy Connect in 2023, managing the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills, Careers & Employment, the Skills Commission, and the Higher Education Commission.
Alyson has worked in academic settings, participating in research projects regarding sustained inequalities in Education, with a focus on widening participation and digital inequality. The work encouraged her to embark on a more policy-oriented journey to tackle persisting issues in Education and Skills.
Alyson holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BA (Hons) in Education from the University College London (UCL). Over her career, she has led various projects related to education, skills and technology policy.
Outside of work Alyson is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her tortoise. On her days off she regularly visits secondary schools in London as a mentor, championing policy careers for underrepresented youth in politics.
