Rein joined Policy Connect in September 2020 as Policy Manager for Carbon Connect and became Head of Sustainability in September 2021. He left Policy Connect in June 2022.

He holds a BA in European Studies and French from King’s College London, as well as an MSc in Public Policy and Management from Birkbeck, where he wrote a dissertation on the UK’s Climate Change Act and Clean Growth Strategy within the context of European climate policy.

Previously, Rein worked at the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum where he managed the organisation’s programming for the United States and Americas region. He also spent a number of years working in youth engagement and sustainability at the Royal Commonwealth Society and the Prince of Wales’s International Sustainability Unit.

Outside work, Rein enjoys cinema, literature and photography. He plays the piano and he can regularly be found on the tennis court or riding his bicycle.
