Lavanya joined Policy Connect in November 2023 as a Policy Co-ordinator for Health and became Acting Policy Manager in April 2025.
She has previously worked in a communications agency followed by gaining experience as an Intern at Swasti Health Catalyst and Research Assistant at the Centre for Civil Society (CCS) in India. At Swasti, Lavanya supported the larger program management team in implementing programs to improve the sexual and reproductive health in vulnerable communities in Karnataka, India. Her time at CCS was spent supporting research projects focused on agriculture, sustainable livelihood and terracotta environmentalism.
Lavanya holds a MSc in Public Policy and Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science where she developed an understanding in research methods, policymaking, and public management in a global context.
Outside of work Lavanya enjoys solving the NYT Crossword, watching movies and going to comedy clubs.
