The All Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group are delighted to be hosting the third in a four-part roundtable series on the Energy Intensive Industries and their transition to net zero, in collaboration with the Energy Intensive Users Group (EIUG).

This third session will take place in Westminster and will be chaired by Mark Pawsey MP, co-chair of the APMG and member of the BEIS Select Committee.

Government will publish a review into the operation of the relief scheme at the end of December, to inform decisions on future support after March 2023. The review will focus on identifying the most vulnerable non-domestic customers and how Government will continue assisting them with energy costs.

The discussion aims to inform decisions about the future of the energy bill relief scheme after March 2023, understanding vulnerability of continued high energy prices, and discuss the most appropriate means of providing support after the scheme ends.

A summary of the first roundtable with Lord Grimstone can be found here and a summary of the second roundtable on energy pricing and competition can be found here.
