The APPG for Assistive and Accessible Technology, The Royal Society and Steve Darling MP (Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Work and Pensions) are hosting a Parliamentary Breakfast Reception on technology for disability inclusion and accessibility.

The session will spotlight how science and innovation can improve access to assistive and accessible technology for the 16.1 million people with disabilities in the UK and how the UK’s innovation ecosystem can better support inclusion. 

Highlights will include: 

  • Parliamentary launch of the Royal Society’s Disability Technology report 
  • Talks from The Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms MP, Minister of State for Social Security and Disability, Professor Annalu Waller OBE and Sir Bernard Silverman FRS
  • Hands-on demos of cutting-edge ATech including from Smartbox Assistive Technology, Sony Play Station, SensePilot, CareScribe, Waymap and Automated Spaces.
