The first evidence session of the Manufacturing Commission’s Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) Inquiry will be held at Donington Hall, Headquarters of Norton Motorcycles. This session is being held in partnership with Norton Motorcycles, the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership and Made in the Midlands.

The event is open to APMG members and Made in the Midlands members and will comprise a networking breakfast, a presentation from the LEP on their Local Industrial Strategy and a panel with business and LEP dicsussing the strategy.

Following this, the group will break down into two smaller focus groups to drill down into how manufacturers in the region have found their Local Industrial Strategy, and how manufacturing can be best supported going forward. This session will be followed by a factory tour.
