The Skills Commission is hosting the latest evidence session in its NEET youth inquiry in the West Midlands on 10 November.

This critical regional roundtable is convened as part of the cross-party inquiry “Earning or Learning: A New Agenda for Youth NEET Reduction”. Hosted by Policy Connect in collaboration with the West Midlands Combined Authority, this evidence session will bring together key stakeholders to examine place-based solutions for reducing youth NEET (not in education, employment, or training) rates.

The inquiry aims to develop actionable policy recommendations to support young people into sustainable pathways of education, employment, and training. Your participation and expertise will directly inform this important national agenda.

The session will be chaired by Helene Dearne, West Midlands Combined Authority Director of Employment Skills Health and Communities.

We have invited the Mayor Richard Parker to provide introductory remarks (TBC).
