This event will be chaired by Lord Martin Rees and will bring together prominent speakers in this field to discuss the role of negative emissions technologies in combating climate change, including:
- Charlotte Morgan, Chair of the Carbon Capture Use and Storage Cost Taskforce
- Dr David Reiner, Senior Lecture in Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge
- Dr Naomi Vaughan, Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia
They will discuss:
- What are negative emissions technologies?
- How reliant can we be on these technologies?
- Could developing these technologies be the most important step towards tackling climate change?
- What role can the UK play in developing negative emissions technology and how should this subject effect the UK’s environment plans?
Presentations from the panel will be followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
