The APPG for Assistive and Accessible Technology’s is holding a meeting Technology and the SEND Reforms.
The event will be chaired by, Peter Swallow MP, with speakers including:
- Kathryn Stowell, Head of CENMAC
- Khamani Edwards, Student Voice Lead for CENMAC, and Founder of KJ’s Craft Time
- Professor Gosia Kwiatkowska, Director of RIX Inclusive Research (UEL)
- Julaan Govier, Class Teacher, Curriculum Leader, and Digital Champion, LEO Academy Trust
- Zoe Mather, Education Officer, nasen
The session comes as policymakers consider major reforms to the SEND system, and the Government is already taking significant steps such as the Assistive Technology lending libraries pilot, the SEND teacher training programme, and the Experts At Hand Fund.
