The APPCOG has partnered with the National Fire Chiefs Council to deliver a parliamentary reception, in advance of Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week. 

The reception will celebrate APPCOG’s ten-year anniversary by welcoming senior leaders in the Fire and Rescue Service to meet with MPs, peers, representatives from the Gas Distribution Networks and Think CO, an educational program sponsored by the Gas Safe Charity. 

Attendees will hear topical three presentations:

  • Managing Carbon Monoxide Risks in the Fire and Rescue Service, Craig Drinkald, Carbon Monoxide Lead, National Fire Chiefs Council
  • West Midlands Fire Service Collaborative CO Projects, Brinley Mills, Watch Commander & CO Lead
  • How does rising fuel poverty impact carbon monoxide risks?Peter Smith, Director of Policy, National Energy Action (NEA)

Following which refreshments will be served and attendees are encouraged to share their work and explore opportunities for future collaboration.
