In the Queen’s Speech, the government announced that it will publish a new National Strategy for Disabled People by the end of 2020.

The strategy will seek to support disabled people in “all aspects and phases of their lives.”

On Monday 23rd March, the APPG for Assistive Technology is hosting a symposium on the role of assistive technology within the strategy.  Chaired by Seema Malhotra MP, the panel discussion will bring together senior figures from industry, disabled people’s organisations, frontline services, the Cabinet Office’s Disability Unit and assistive technology users to discuss how the government can ensure the new strategy takes full advantage of the opportunities afforded by assistive technology.

If you would be interested in joining this event or have any further questions, please contact the APPGAT managers Geena Vabulas or Clive Gilbert. To receive updates on this and other APPGAT activities, please sign up to our newsletter.
