APGSCE Roundtable: Future of LSIPs

This timely roundtable will bring together parliamentarians, employer representatives, and sector leaders to explore how LSIPs can evolve to meet the UK’s changing skills landscape. The session will be chaired by Lauren Edwards MP, Co-Chair of the APPG for Skills, Careers and Employment. 

We’re delighted to confirm the following speakers:

  • Rt Hon Jacqui Smith, Minister for Skills
    The Minister will outline the government’s current priorities for LSIPs and how national policy can better support employer-led local skills systems.
  • Shevaun Haviland, Director General, British Chambers of Commerce
    Shauvaun will offer a national perspective on LSIP implementation and opportunities to enhance SME engagement.
  • Lucy Druesne, Chief Contracts and Policy Officer, Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce
    As LSIP Strategic Lead for Kent & Medway, Lucy will share insights on effective regional delivery and business collaboration.
  • Mark Andrews, Deputy Executive Principal – Development, North Kent College
    Mark will discuss how colleges are adapting provision to meet local employer demand and align with LSIP goals.

  • Strengthening SME involvement in shaping local skills strategies
  • Increasing flexibility in provision – modular and demand-responsive approaches
