Bricks and Water 3 Roundtable: Planning and Prevention

09.30-11.00

The Westminster Sustainable Business Forum is embarking upon a new inquiry that will explore how the impact of flooding on vulnerable communities can be minimised.  The project will build on the recommendations made within previous Bricks and Water inquiries, specifically those relating to flood risk and resilience.

On 26th April, the WSBF will hold its first roundtable evidence session to inform this inquiry.  The session will consider flood risk management in the context of the Government's forthcoming planning reforms.  Speakers at this roundtable will include:

Baroness McIntosh of Pickering (inquiry Chair)

Rt Hon Philip Dunne MP (inquiry vice-Chair)

Luke Pollard MP (inquiry vice-Chair)

Julie Foley, Director of Flood Risk Strategy & National Adaptation, Environment Agency

Dr. Andy Russell, Lecturer in Environmental Science, Queen Mary University of London
