Decarbonising Homes for Better Health: Levelling up via the energy transition
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Carbon Monoxide has partnered with Carbon Connect and Policy Connect Health to explore the combined objectives of zero carbon homes, improving indoor air quality and levelling up health inequalities.
Clive Betts MP, Chair of The Levelling Up, Housing and Communities Committee Commons Select Committee, will chair this panel event to:
- Consider the various challenges that exist in delivering the governments decarbonisation agenda, specifically for domestic heating
- Outline the opportunities that decarbonisation can bring for levelling up health and addressing health inequality
- Explore the health benefits decarbonisation can bring for indoor air quality, specifically carbon monoxide
- Examine the need for consistent, long-term policies, grants and schemes which allow for planning at a local level to enable decarbonisation goals to be achieved
