Voicing Victims' Stories: Lived Experiences of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
This event will tell the stories of the victims of carbon monoxide poisoning.
There is a spectrum of ways in which people can be affected by carbon monoxide, from chronic headaches and cognitive impairment to life-lasting complications or death within minutes of exposure.
Millions of Brits are estimated to suffer from chronic exposure and ill health each year, but awareness remains stubbornly low.
This forum will provide the platform for survivors and bereaved families to share their lived experiences, from misdiagnosis to mistreatment and a lack of appropriate support.
We will hear from victims’ champions including Cathy Foley, a bereaved mother who launched the Pack Safe Appeal, as well as current and former patients of carbon monoxide poisoning.
