In our report Smarter Homes for Independent Living, we called for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to make independent living technology part of its forthcoming innovation missions programme.

In today’s roundtable, participants discussed a proposed independent living technology mission:

“Harness the UK’s international leadership in assistive robotics, smart technology and artificial intelligence to double the share of disabled people who feel in control of their daily lives at home by 2035.”

Thank you to everyone who attended and shared their insights!
