The APMG is pleased to announce the University of Bristol as the latest supporter of the APPG.

Bristol is one of the most popular and successful universities in the UK, ranked in the world's top 50 in the QS World University Rankings 2020. The Department of Management at the University of Bristol scored highly in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) with 80% of its research rated as world leading, or internationally excellent; placing it amongst the leading schools in the UK. Its ongoing focus is to address reflectively, creatively and critically the significant global and societal challenges that face individuals, organisations, communities and policymakers in the 21st Century. The department nurtures a social science and interdisciplinary approach to education and research that considers changes driven by processes of globalisation, inequality, entrepreneurialism and innovation in the advent of digital, network economies, and the challenges of environmental and social sustainability.

On joining, Professor Palie Smart, Head of the School of Management said:

As the Head of The School of Management, to be formally launched in 2020, it’s my ambition to create a school which provides a progressive understanding of management and organisation to drive civic value in business, government and society. I’m delighted to be joining the All Party Manufacturing Group and look forward to engaging with the wider Policy Connect network to support evidence-based policy work through the various All-Party Parliamentary Groups..  At the University of Bristol, PolicyBristol, under the Directorship of Dr Patricia Gaya, has enabled a long tradition of policy innovation through the impact of its research at local, national and international level.
