Alyson Hwang

Researcher
Policy Connect

Alyson joined Policy Connect in 2023 as a Researcher for the Education and Skills team. She works with the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Skills, Career & Employment, the Skills Commission, and the Higher Education Commission.

Alyson has worked in academic settings, participating in research projects regarding sustained inequalities in Education, with a focus on widening participation and digital inequality. The work encouraged her to embark on a more policy-oriented journey to tackle persisting issues in Education and Skills.

Alyson holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a BA (Hons) in Education from the University College London (UCL). Her research focused on social mobility and digital divides in rural England.

Outside of work Alyson is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her tortoise. On her days off, she volunteers with the Digital Poverty Alliance.
