Paul Trimmer
Paul Trimmer’s main role is Senior Advisor to Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), building on 45 years’ experience to support their global investments and asset operations in the energy sector. Originally an oil and gas specialist, Paul’s current activity is increasingly focussed on GIP’s large wind and solar base together with carbon capture and storage, hydrogen and the circular economy. He is currently a director at Scotia Gas Networks, a company active in the early stages of energy transition in the UK.
Prior to advising GIP, Paul worked for more than 30 years in Shell mainly on gas projects in Europe, Australasia, Asia and the Americas. More recently he was chairman of Interconnector UK Ltd, a director of FluxSwiss in Switzerland and CLH-PS in the UK. Paul formed, and was the inaugural chair of, the Thames Valley Chambers of Commerce Energy Panel.
