On 8 February, incoming APPGAT Chair Paul Maynard MP will host Minister for Disabled People Chloe Smith MP at a hybrid event on the National Disability Strategy’s aim, “to help make the UK the most accessible place in the world to live and work with technology.”

Following productive engagement with Policy Connect, the APPGAT, and our stakeholders, the National Disability Strategy makes significant commitments on assistive and accessible technology (ATech), including a workplace adjustments passport pilot, using Challenge Funds to drive ATech innovation, and scoping the case for a ‘world leading Centre for Assistive and Accessible Technology.

This event provides an opportunity for policy makers and the sector to come together to discuss how Strategy commitments can be delivered and built upon to transform awareness, access, and support for disabled people to use ATech.  If you are interested in attending virtually, please contact Geena Vabulas at geena.vabulas@policyconnect.org.uk.
