Policy Connect and the All-Party Parliamentary Health Group will hold its first evidence session for the improving access to primary care inquiry. Co-Chaired by Dr Simon Opher MP, Sadik Al-Hassan MP, Jess-Brown Fuller MP and Lord Kamall, this session will focus on gathering evidence to understand who cannot get timely appropriate first contact care and why?

Expert contributors include:

  • William Pett, Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Research, Healthwatch England
  • Dr Emily T. Murray, Director, Centre for Coastal Communities, Institute for Public Health, University of Essex
  • Tim Clarke, Director, Accessible Waterways Association CIC
  • John Ford, Director, Health Equity Evidence Centre
  • Shawn Charlwood, NHS Dentist and Board Member
  • Robert Waterson, Executive Dean of Health, Sport and Bioscience, University of East London

This is the first of three evidence sessions and will help shape the APHG’s evidence-based recommendations to deliver lasting improvements across primary care.
