The All-Party Parliamentary Health Group is delighted to partner with the Cell & Gene Collective on their upcoming report launch improving access to cell and gene therapies.

The Cell & Gene Collective established its Tomorrow’s Science, Today’s NHS Commission in 2024 to agree what action is needed to support patient access to cell and gene therapies (CGTs) and how the UK can position itself as a global leader in this innovative and high growth sector.

The Tomorrow’s Science, Today’s NHS report presents robust policy solutions to some of the UK’s most pressing challenges in patient access to new and existing cell and gene therapies. The report contains specific policy recommendations across value assessment, reimbursement, and system readiness and these are brought together with the overarching recommendation of the appointment of a Ministerial lead for CGTs to enable the UK to fully realise the potential of this innovative class of medicines.

Chaired by Baroness Ritchie of Downpatrick, we would be delighted if you are able to attend the launch alongside parliamentarians, policymakers, patient advocacy groups, and industry to support the report’s findings that are critical in improving access to cell and gene therapies.
