Conservative Party Conference: Building a More Accessible Transport System for Disabled People

Policy Connect will host a panel discussion at the Conservative Party Conference 2026 exploring how national and local government can create a transport system that works for everyone.

Drawing on the Transport Committee’s Access Denied report on transport and disability, the discussion will consider how policymakers, local government and industry can turn best practice into consistent improvements, and help address variation in accessible transport provision across the country.

The panel will bring together parliamentarians, accessibility experts, and policy specialists to discuss the practical changes needed to improve accessibility across the transport system.
