The Design Council at 75
The APDIG is delighted to support the Parliamentary reception to celebrate the Design Council’s first 75 years, and look ahead to design’s future contribution to UK society and its economy with the launch of our new strategy. In
In December 1944, Churchill’s War Cabinet set up the Council for Industrial Design to promote the best of British design and to prepare and support Britain’s businesses for the challenges that lay ahead in an uncertain world.
Today design contributes at least £85.2 billion to the UK economy and Design Council, as government’s adviser on design, continues taking design to new audiences across business and the public sector. Solving problems, delivering outstanding productivity, supporting innovation and improving the places we live in.
This event is now at capacity. However, to registere your interest in the event of additional places, please email 75 [at] designcouncil.org.uk (75[at]designcouncil[dot]org[dot]uk).
