The summary from this event can be found here
Following recent reports from Policy Connect's Skills and Manufacturing Commissions,* which called for more local influence in the skills system, this roundtable will explore new approaches to understanding local labour markets and their policy implications.
Colleagues from UCL will present new methods of mapping embedded skills and capabilities in localities as a base for our discussion on the challenges and opportunities for developing human capital and aligning skills provision with demand.
This roundtable will invite perspectives from academia, Parliament, local and central government, further education and industry to contribute to the shaping of this important discussion.
