Policy Connect Chair, Barry Sheerman MP, announced today that Jonathan Shaw is leaving Policy Connect on 7th September 2021 to take up a new role, after leading the organisation for over five years as its Chief Executive.
"On behalf of the Policy Connect board and staff team, I’d like to thank Jonathan for his outstanding leadership over the past five years. Jonathan has developed a very strong top team that have ensured our cross-party policy events and research programmes have gained even greater impact and influence through evidence-based policy recommendations.

The new partnerships he has developed mean our finances are in good health; all in all Jonathan leaves Policy Connect in great shape and with our heartfelt thanks for a job well done.

"I’d like to thank Policy Connect for giving me the opportunity to lead a fantastic organisation. I am very proud of our achievements to improve public policy; our work is now regularly cited in government and select committee reports demonstrating that our model of supporting cross-party groups is a vital contributor to a healthy democracy.
"I am particularly grateful for the support of Barry and the Policy Connect board, our 200-plus funders without whom none of this work would be possible and my amazing set of inspiring colleagues, past and present, whose commitment to Policy Connect and its values shines brightly every day. I am sad to leave but confident that the organisation’s best days are still to come. I wish Claudia every success as she picks up the reins."
