The All Party Health Group was delighted to host the Professional Standards Authority in the House of Lords yesterday for the launch of their latest report Safer Care for All.

The Professional Standards Authority (PSA) protects the public by raising the standards of registration and regulation of people working in health and care. The report makes the case for a structural change in health and social care safety with recommendations for all four UK governments, to address persistent issues that may put patients and service users at risk.

We were pleased to hear from the following expert speakers at the launch:

  • Baroness Finlay of Llandaff,
  • Alan Clamp, Chief Executive, Professional Standards Authority,
  • Caroline Corby, Chair, Professional Standards Authority, and
  • Helen Hughes, Chief Executive, Patient Safety Learning.
