Following the Transport Select Committee’s Access Denied report, the Department for Transport announced a range of measures to address the barriers disabled people continue to face when travelling.
Chaired by Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson, the Accessible Transport Policy Commission will host a House of Lords roundtable to discuss these initiatives and the wider changes needed to improve accessible transport.
The Law Commission will present its review of transport accessibility legislation, while Ruth Cadbury MP, Chair of the Transport Select Committee, will also contribute to the discussion.
